另一方面就是通過滾輪使杠桿繞支點來轉動，并且將反饋彈簧拉伸、彈簧對杠桿的位力與信號壓力作用的波紋管上的力還到力平衡的時候儀表才會到達平衡的狀態。而在此時，一定的信號壓力就與一定的冷門位置相對應了。而這些方式就叫做正作用，若是要改變作用方式，只要將凸輪翻轉就可以了。
