Here are fun, free family activities that you can enjoy this summer. Many of these free activities are also offered year round, so check the individual websites for more details.

Kids Workshops at Home Depot - held the 1st Saturday of the month from 9 am to 12 noon. Each child gets an orange Home Depot apron and completes a building project.

Free “Build and Grow” Clinics at Lowe’s - workshops are held every other Saturday from 10 am to 11 am. The first 50 kids to register and be present at the store, receive the free building kit, goggles, an apron, a project patch, and a certificate of merit.

Free Museum Days  from Target. You can also get free passes to over 2,200 events and reduced price performance each year. Over 120 museums and cultural organizations are part of this free program.

Free Museum Days from Bank of America. Offered the first weekend of each month. Gain one free general admission to over 100 participating museums when you show your Bank of America ATM, credit, or debit card.

Free Summer Movies at Regal Theaters - every Tuesday & Wednesday through August 11, 2010.

Free Movie Rental at Blockbuster Video for Good Grades - earn 1 free rental each grading period.

Michael’s - join “The Knack” for free craft days, usually every other Saturday from 10 am to 1 pm.

Bass Pro Shops Free Family Summer Camp - free family activities and workshops on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday through July 11, 2010.

Pottery Barn Kids Book Club - free story time every Tuesday from 11:00 to 11:30 a.m. Kids get a special gift after the 5th visit.

Barnes & Noble Summer Reading Program - earn a free book when you read 8 books.

Borders Summer Reading Program - Read 10 books, get 1 free – for kids 12 and under.

Check out Library Books, Audio Books and DVD’s from Home - Overdrive is a  free service from 8,500 public libraries.

Free Bowling - 1 free game for up to 10 people when you join the AMF eClub.

Kids Bowl Free All Summer - 2 free games a day at participating bowling centers

Chuck E. Cheese’s -  earn free tokens with good grades and for completing the free rewards calendar.

Free Entrance at National Parks- offered throughout the year, next dates are August 14 & 15th, 2010.

Global Greeters - free city tours while on vacation. The free service is in selected cities around the world and in the United States in Houston, New York City and Chicago.
